Knack reads the creative itself — not your naming convention — grades it against what the ad was actually asked to do, and tells you what to scale, iterate or kill. Then it writes that up for the people who need to act on it.
Six things, in the order you'd use them.
Knack looks at the actual image and video frames and tags every ad across eight dimensions: format, angle, hook, talent, setting, pacing, tone and CTA — plus whether it's an owned asset or a creator partnership.
Scale, iterate or kill, with a score and a one-line diagnosis. Each ad is judged against its own objective — hook rate for awareness, ROAS or CPA for conversions — so a top-of-funnel video isn't marked down for not selling.
One ad winning is trivia. Knowing that every winner this quarter was shot in a real location and every loser was in a studio is a brief. Patterns ranks performance by any of the eight dimensions, so you learn what to make more of before you commission the next batch.
Switch on daily analysis for an account and Knack pulls the last seven days each night, compares it against the night before, and writes up what moved. Not the whole account again — the things that changed.
A written report rather than a metrics dump: what worked, what you'd scale, the personas and messaging angles behind it, the format mix you actually produced, and the briefs you want in production next — each with its audience, the problem, and the idea.
A gallery of the creative at full size next to its numbers, and a quadrant that separates ads that lose people in the first three seconds from ads that lose them in the middle — which are two different problems with two different fixes.
There is nothing to install and no tracking to add. Knack reads what Meta already knows.
The full product runs on sample data. No card, no connection, nothing to undo.
Sign in with Facebook and pick an ad account. Read-only — Knack never creates, edits, pauses or spends.
Your creative is read and graded in the first session. Turn on daily analysis and the account writes itself up each night.
Share a link with a client or a founder when you want them to see the thinking, not the spreadsheet.
Worth reading before you connect anything, and short enough that you can.
Knack asks Meta for permission to read ad performance, and nothing else. There is no code path anywhere in the product that creates, edits, pauses or spends. The app shows you exactly which permissions were granted, so a declined one is visible rather than turning into missing data.
It's stored encrypted and used only by Knack's own servers. Shared client reports carry a snapshot of the numbers rather than live access, so a link you send a client can never be used to reach your ad account.
Revoke Knack in your Facebook settings or ask us to delete the workspace, and the stored data goes with it. Shared report links expire on their own and can be revoked before that.
Knack works from platform-reported conversions. Those are directional and they over-credit themselves — an ad that looks like it's driving revenue in Ads Manager may be harvesting demand that was already there. Knack tells you which ads are doing the work relative to each other, and what to make next. It does not tell you whether the channel is incremental. That's a different question and it needs a different instrument — a holdout test, a geo split, an MMM. Anyone selling you creative analytics as a substitute for incrementality testing is overselling.
What creative analysis does do is stop you spending the biggest lever in the account blind. Here's the research on how big that lever is.
